Here are some great E-mails to the band! Thank You!
Last Saturday (Dec. 13) we had The Johnny Holm Band play for our Christmas Party. They were awesome! I have heard nothing but positive comments from those who attended. The band got the crowd going from the second song and the dance floor was full all night. Typically everyone leaves after our door prize drawing at 10:00, but this year there were people partying until the band stopped playing at 11:30. We’ve tried other bands and DJs, but nothing can compare to the success we had with the Johnny Holm Band.

My fiancé and I saw you for the first time at Jerseys on Sat. night.  Awsome show!  We had a great time.  He even mentioned we should see if we can get you to play at our wedding reception – I agreed.  So when we get a date we’ll check with you on scheduling.

My girlfriends and I just want to let you know we think you guys are the
greatest.  We come to see you every time you are in town. We have deemed ourselves
"The Johnny Holm Band Groupies."  Each of us has a set of drums sticks that
we got from you.  We also have one of the posters from Diamonds Sports Bar that
we had all of you autograph.  On the way home that night we had some
ungrateful people try to take our autographed picture from us and in the process they
ripped it.  We were wondering if it would be possible for us to get a new one?
We would like a picture of the whole band with everyone's signature.  It
would mean the world to all of us.
I just recently purchased "Ballroom Days".  I am in the military stationed in Seoul, Korea and a local bar allows me to bring in my own music when I DJ.  Yep, you guessed it.  I played Lightnin' Bar Blues and I heard a loud voice from the back of the bar say "My God, it's the Johnny Holm Band."  Needless to say I was quite surprised.  Just thought I would share this with you and let you know that our military and ex-pats are enjoying your music in Seoul South Korea.

I saw you do a show in the late '70s in Battle Lake, MN.  I am retiring from the military this summer after 24 years of duty.  I will be living in Hawley, MN.  I told my wife we will definitely have to catch one of your shows when you are in the area.  Keep bringing us the music, Johnny!!

Still a fan after 28 years,

Hi  Johnny,
This is Michael from the Holiday Station Store in Shakopee that you visit. Jayne and I want to Thank You for the wonderful and totaly fantastic show you and your band put on in Hinckley, Minnesota on the eve of the New Year. I can't remember the last time I had such an enjoyable time at a concert. We plan to go see you again and soon. Have a Happy New Year and God Bless all of you.

Dear Johnny
It is SO fun to go to a show and see talented musicians having so much fun
playing music for the fans.  I've had to live at home this last year, and it
was difficult to find something fun to do on the weekends.  I went to my
first JHB show last November and was hooked.  You're a blessing!  You should
come to southern MN more often!  I took a friend to her first show last
Saturday in Mantorville.  She was having a rotten day and didn't want to go,
but afterward, she couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had that
night!  So, thank you for sharing your talent and charisma with us, the
fans!
See you at The Jungle!
Lisi

JHB,
Thanks for an awesome performance on Friday at Bogart’s. My girlfriends and I had a blast. Friday was my first night out in awhile. I decided to pick the hardest route (Biochem) at the U of M so I was ecstatic that I could make it home (Lakeville) and to your show. We are so used to the typical bar scene downtown with Dj’s and hardly any rock/alternative music so getting to hear a live band, especially yours, is a treat. I love how you guys make the songs your own.
I used to come here you guys every year at St Thomas the first two years I was there. After I transferred I didn’t hear much about your tour dates until MY DAD of all people clued me in on the place to be. Should I be worried that my dad is telling me where the good bars are?
Anyways, Thanks for the great show again and it was awesome meeting Tim, Chewy, and John. Hope to see/hear from you soon!

Wow!  Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed you at the World's Largest Office Party in La Crosse last Wednesday night!!  Oh what a night! (no, not the song...it really was!!)

This is the second year we have gone - simply because you guys were there!  Hope to see you again next year!
The drum show you added this year was EXCELLENT!  We saw Blue Man Group in Vegas - and your rendition was just as awesome!!!!!
Didn't even bother me to miss American Idol that night - instead we got to see you!!!
(Constantine needed to go anyway....he did really bad this week).

Again, thanks for a great night!  :o)
Hello  Johnny,

I just have to say that every time I see you guys perform, I have a total blast! I moved to Hazelton ND about 6 years ago when I was only 13, and my friends took me to your concert in Braddock (about 14 miles away)...and ever since then I have been hooked. I haven't missed a concert in Braddock, Mandan, or Wishek since that 1st time...no lie.  You guys are seriously the best...and I can't wait until the next time to see you all.

Hi,
I'm Emily Mullen from Cresco (the Mighty Howard County Fair). Last year when
you guys were here, I was unable to go to your show. I heard so many good
things about it, I thought I'd go this year, to check things out. WOW! was I
impressed! I've never seen such a crowd oriented performance before! It was
amazing! I had so much fun. I love how you go up and just pull people outa
the audience, especially when its my 14 year old cousin! that made it all
the more worth while to go! I just wanted to say that I had an amazing time
and I will definatly be going next year! I only wish I could drive so I
could go to more shows!
Thanks for the amazing time!
Emily

I was home (ND) recently, and my family and friends mentioned that the Johnny Holm Band was still playing in the area.  I spent many nights while in college at Johnny Holm concerts in Fargo in the early 80's, and I was filled with a flood of happy memories.

I found your website, and promptly ordered your CD (Ballroom Days).  I was immediately transported back to some of the best times of my life, when my girlfriends and I would arrive at the bar at 4:30 p.m. in order to ensure we would have a table up front.  Once my little brother was of age, he loved to go to the concerts and be the guy that Johnny "rode" around the bar.  Chair dancing, dancing with Bill on his Birthday, the midget that loved to dance, getting your butt pinched (Bill again), Jack, Steve...all great memories that came back to me.
Thanks for helping me remember when things were simple, and we all waited impatiently for the next time Johnny Holm was in town.  My college girlfriends will be getting copies of your CD for Christmas!

Hello Johnny,
My name is Maggie Andrus, my friend Hannah and I travel all over Minnesota to come see you guys! From Concrodia College to the Jungle your shows always amaze me!! We have such a great time each and every time we come! I can't wait for the next!
I thought I would let you guys know that you  were the topic of conversation over the holidays! My Mom, Dad, Aunts and Uncles have all heard of the Johnny Holm Band and could not believe that going to see your shows is one of my favorite past times! Needless to say the next time I come my Mom and Aunt will be there rockin' out front and center with me!
I can't wait! Thanks for all the great memories and all the memories to come!!
Maggie
You never quit amazing us.  We haven't seen you since Ribfest in Fargo last year so we could not wait for your show in Dickinson.  And once again, we were blown away by your talent and awesome sound.  The talent that each one of you carry is unmatched.  We so enjoy watching all of you work like a team on stage.  It is so easy to see that you all absolutely love what you are doing.  Any band that can go from Nirvana to John Denver in the same set is going to deliver a great show.  I don't think there is any band around that can do that transition as flawlessly as you do it every performance.   And still manage to play Jesse's girl for us every time we request it at a show.      Jesse's girls - Lisa, Connie, and Kim
Hello Johnny Holm Band,
I'm Jodi and I'm from Rogers MN! I want you all to know I think you all have some awesome talent. When I first saw your band it was last year in Zumbrota MN and ever scence then I have been hooked I just can't get enough of your band, I then took my mom and my second cousin and my great aunt to your new years eve party at the Hinkley Grand casino and they all had BLAST and thought you guys where just super awesome... On February 17th 2006 which was my 25th  birthday you guys where at POV'S in Andover MN,  my mom had invited my cousin and great aunt, you made my birthday when you brought me on stage I was very shy but then I meet a awesome man who was checking me out after the whole stage thing and his friend had asked me if I would like to dance with him and of course I did, him and I danced the rest of the night together I had the best birthday in the world and I thank you all. My boyfriend and I are still together and we always try to make it to your shows when you are here in town you guys are phenomenal KEEP IT!
I just wanted to say that you have one tremendous fan! Anyone who would fly back from New York City and drive for 5hrs+ to see your show is a truly dedicated fan! That's what I did in May! I love the band and I couldn't bare the thought that JHB would be so close to home and I wouldn't make it to the show, but I got my flight set and home I came only to drive another 5hrs to see you! You are amazing, talented, handsome musicians and I rarely ever miss a show in the area. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and talking. Much Love! Sabrina
Absolutely WOW! I grew up in central Minnesota (Sauk Centre) in the late 70's and went to school a Alex Tech and NDSU, had a blast at the Coliseum, The New Munich Ballroom, The Barn and later at the Student Union at Fargo. Appreciate the memories.Seen you at Jackson last year and had the opportunity to take my 22 year old daughter along with my wife and some friends that had never got to see your show before. They were awestruck. Seldom do things or events live up to memories from the past, however again the experience exceeded any expectations. I hope as a group you are as happy and enjoying yourselves as it appears from the crowds side.      Thank you,   Al Schmitz

Congratulations on a most excellent show at the recent Ragbrai in Spencer, Iowa!

As I mentioned to Shaun and Jordan after the show, you guys are the BEST band to ever play Ragbrai in my 21 years of doing the ride. Of course the flipside is that you set the bar so high that no other following band in all the rest of the towns and stops during the week couldn't compare.

All week long, whenever the subject of bands came up, it was "Damn, the John Holm Band kicked ass," or, "these guys are good, but man, that band in Spencer blew us away!"

I hope you are invited back to play again at Ragbrai - you're the PERFECT band for 10,000 some-odd partiers! Thanks for the memories, and thanks for an excellent evening!

I was turned on to the band about 7 years ago and have been an avid follower ever since.  People always think that I am crazy because I get so excited when you guys are anywhere near my town.  However, when I drag them along, they always fall in love.  I had the pleasure on Thursday, June 19th, 2008, at Steamboat Days in Winona, MN to bring several of my family members to your show.  They were awestruck!  Some of them danced that I don't ever recall seeing dance before:)  It is always such an wonderful experience to be at your shows!!!  Thank you for continuing to put on the best shows!  I would come see you guys over any musician, even people like Fergie or Toby Keith or anyone else.
